Kiwanis Junior is a service club for young people; its members work for a better human community, they undertake opportune social and cultural action and at the same time enjoy the friendship of men and women who share the same convictions about life.
Kiwanis Junior consists of young people between the ages of 18 and 35. Being part of a Kiwanis Junior Club means:
Being part of the Kiwanis Family, a group of 600,000 volunteers affiliated to various kinds of Kiwanis member cooperations, Kiwanis Junior members feel supported in their efforts to make a difference. And that can be done in many ways. Every Kiwanis Junior Club has its own hands-on project, often in cooperation with their local sponsoring Kiwanis Club. Today’s youth is tomorrow’s leadership. Kiwanis Junior offers its member the opportunity to develop and improve executive abilities on club and international level. Take up a leading role in your club as club president, secretary or treasurer, dedicate yourself as project coordinator or support the convention’s hosting committee — Kiwanis Junior looks forward to working with you!
Friendship and fellowship are what drives Kiwanis Junior members to do what they do. Members come together in bi-weekly meetings to enjoy being among friends and discuss new objectives and progress on existing projects.
Kiwanis Junior is teamwork on a European scale. Each year, Kiwanis Junior members, sponsoring club delegates and non-Kiwanis members gather for the annual Kiwanis Junior Convention. An excellent occasion to experience the global character of Kiwanis Junior, exchange ideas with members from various countries, meet old friends and make new contacts in an amiable atmosphere. The 3th European Junior’s meeting took place in Prague (Czech Republic) in 2006. 2007 European Junior’s Meeting will be hosted by the Kiwanis Junior District Italy.
Kiwanis Junior strives to build bridges between countries. The Kiwanis Junior Exchange Program enables young Kiwanis members to get in touch with Kiwanis colleagues across the borders. Learn about other European customs by welcoming foreign guests and/or visit Kiwanis families abroad.
